Abby Cares Foundation Partners with EBBC to Expand Health Outreach in Ebonyi

Date:

Abby Cares Foundation has taken a significant step toward strengthening healthcare delivery in rural communities by paying a courtesy visit to the Director General of Ebonyi Broadcasting Corporation (EBBC), Comrade Tony Nwizi.

The meeting, held on April 18, focused on establishing a strategic media partnership that will drive health advocacy and foster community development across Ebonyi State. Comrade Nwizi expressed EBBC’s readiness to support initiatives that positively impact lives, especially in underserved areas.

Abby Cares Foundation has become a driving force in accessible healthcare, having touched the lives of over 20,000 people. Their ongoing efforts include more than 100 free or subsidized surgeries, 8 cataract surgeries, 2,000 distributed reading glasses, and 230 cervical cancer screenings—all at no cost to beneficiaries.

This collaboration with EBBC aims to leverage mass media to increase health awareness, educate residents, and promote preventative care across remote villages. By joining forces, both organizations hope to build stronger, healthier communities—one voice, one vision, and one village at a time.
