Ebonyi APC Primaries: Nkemanma Kama Secures Ohanivo Reps Ticket Ahead of General Election

Date:

The member representing Ohaozara, Onicha and Ivo Federal Constituency, popularly known as Ohanivo, Hon. Nkemanma Kama, has emerged as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the House of Representatives ahead of the forthcoming general elections in Ebonyi State.

Kama clinched the APC ticket during the party’s primary election held in the constituency, reaffirming his position as the party’s flagbearer for the next electoral contest.

Speaking after his victory, the lawmaker expressed appreciation to APC leaders, stakeholders, party members and supporters for their confidence in his leadership and representation.

According to him, the victory reflects the unity and strength of the APC structure within the Ohanivo Federal Constituency.

“I am excited and deeply grateful for another opportunity to continue serving my people. I appreciate our party leaders, stakeholders, supporters and especially the Governor for standing with us throughout the process. Above all, I thank God for this opportunity,” Kama said.

The federal lawmaker described the turnout recorded during the APC primaries as a strong indication of the party’s popularity ahead of the general elections.

He stated that the support witnessed during the exercise was only a preview of the overwhelming backing the APC would receive during the main election.

Kama further assured residents of Ohaozara, Onicha and Ivo local government areas that his second term would bring more development projects, empowerment opportunities and effective representation.

The lawmaker stressed the importance of retaining experienced legislators in the National Assembly, noting that ranking lawmakers are better positioned to attract federal projects and influence key decisions that benefit their constituencies.

Meanwhile, Ebonyi State Commissioner for Information and Communication Technology, Tochukwu Okorie, also commended party supporters for their peaceful conduct and massive participation during the primaries.

Okorie said the large turnout demonstrated the confidence and satisfaction of the people with the APC-led administration in Ebonyi State.

He dismissed concerns over opposition parties ahead of the general elections, insisting that the APC remains firmly rooted across the constituency and the state at large.

The APC primary election in the Ohanivo Federal Constituency attracted a significant number of party faithful and supporters, setting the stage for a competitive general election in Ebonyi State.
