Nwifuru Outlines 2026 Priorities, Reaffirms Focus on Security and Infrastructure

Ebonyi State Governor, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, has outlined key priorities for 2026, reaffirming his administration’s focus on security and infrastructure development across the state.

Speaking in a statewide New Year broadcast on Thursday, Governor Nwifuru said his government would focus on consolidating achievements, ensuring continuity in governance, and delivering on projects that impact the lives of residents.

“Security remains the foundation for development. Our administration will continue to strengthen law enforcement agencies and support community-based safety initiatives to protect lives and property,” he said.

On infrastructure, the governor assured that ongoing projects across the state would be completed, stressing that development must be sustainable and evenly distributed to benefit all communities.

He further outlined other priorities for the year, including governance reforms, public service efficiency, and economic growth initiatives, noting that peace and stability are critical to attracting investment and promoting social progress.

Governor Nwifuru also called on citizens to cooperate with government programmes, stressing that collective responsibility is essential for achieving the administration’s objectives in 2026.
