The Political Wing of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB-PW) has strongly condemned the recent attack by suspected armed herdsmen in Amegu Nkalagha, Ishielu, Ebonyi State, describing it as “despicable and wicked.”
In a statement issued by its spokesperson, Nwachukwu Emereonye, IPOB-PW urged the authorities to take immediate action to ensure the perpetrators face justice.
The attack, which occurred on Sunday, caught many residents off guard while in church or on their farms. The assailants also burned yam barns, worsening food insecurity and forcing survivors into hunger and homelessness.
IPOB-PW called on state and federal authorities to prevent future attacks and ensure swift justice. While advocating for peace, the group warned that failure to act could fuel further unrest in the Southeast.
