The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced a rescheduling of its proposed 2025 repeat Ward, Local Government, and State Congress in Ebonyi State.
In a statement issued on Friday in Abuja, the PDP National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, said the congress earlier fixed for Saturday, September 20, Wednesday, September 24, and Monday, September 29 will now hold on new dates to be announced soon.
Ologunagba explained that the National Working Committee (NWC) reached the decision after consultations revealed the need for broader engagement with leaders, stakeholders, and members of the party in Ebonyi to guarantee a smooth and transparent congress.
“All aspirants, leaders, stakeholders, and members of our party in Ebonyi State, alongside the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security agencies, democracy development partners, the media, and the general public, should take note accordingly,” he said.
The PDP further called on its members in Ebonyi State to remain united and committed to the collective progress and stability of the party.
