Grace Iheanacho Chima, former Chairperson of the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA), Ebonyi State Chapter, has been honored with the prestigious “Women’s Humanitarian Champion” award by the Women’s Wing of the Universal Christ Mission of All Nations.
The recognition took place during the ministry’s annual women’s convention, acknowledging Chima’s outstanding contributions to legal advocacy, human rights, and social justice, particularly in support of vulnerable women and children across Ebonyi State.
During her leadership at FIDA, Chima championed numerous free legal interventions for survivors of gender-based violence. She also spearheaded several awareness campaigns focusing on women’s rights, child protection, and the fight against domestic abuse.
In her acceptance speech, Chima expressed deep appreciation for the recognition and reaffirmed her lifelong commitment to advocating for equity and justice.
“This award is more than a pat on the back—it’s a call to action to keep serving. The needs of the vulnerable remain urgent and pressing,” she said.
Representatives of the Universal Christ Mission described Chima as a shining example of faith-driven service, encouraging the next generation of women professionals to mirror her dedication and integrity.
The event also featured impactful sessions including legal counseling clinics, panel discussions, and a fundraising segment to support ongoing humanitarian outreach in local communities.
