Four days after she was kidnapped by unidentified gunmen, Mrs. Blessing Adagba—the Coordinator of Ngbo Central Development Centre in Ohaukwu LGA, Ebonyi State—has been released.

Adagba was reportedly abducted in the early hours of Friday, April 4, 2025. A family source confirmed her release late Tuesday night. The incident, which has stirred heightened concern across the state, left the family emotionally distressed and raised alarm over rising insecurity in the area.

Speaking on condition of anonymity, the source revealed that the kidnappers had made a ransom demand, though it remains unclear whether payment was made by the family or state authorities.

Confirming her release, Hon. Tobias Ogbonna, Special Assistant to Governor Francis Nwifuru on Internal Security for Ohaukwu LGA, stated that Adagba was freed on Tuesday, but did not disclose whether any financial settlement facilitated her return.
