The Ebonyi State Executive Council has approved the construction of five key roads to enhance urban and rural connectivity.
Commissioner for Information, Jude Okpor, announced the approval, highlighting the government’s commitment to infrastructure development. The roads include:
- Ukwuachi-Oshiegbe Road (Ezza North LGA) – 5km
- Umueziokwu-Nwegbu-Ugwu Road (Onicha LGA) – 4km
- TTC-Iboko Road (Izzi LGA) – 10.8km
- Ezi-Akani Ukpa–Ngodo Road (Afikpo LGA) – 200m
- Ogbodudu Street, Kpirikpiri, Abakaliki – 172m
All roads will be built using concrete pavement for durability.
The council also approved ₦10M for charcoal stoves as an alternative to expensive cooking gas and kerosene, and the establishment of the Ebonyi State Disability Rights Commission Law.
