Enegix Petitions EFCC, ICPC Over Alleged Dispute on Ebonyi RAAMP Road Project

Date:

Enegix Construction JV PMCC Ltd has submitted petitions to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) over an ongoing dispute linked to its Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP) road contract in Ebonyi State.

Speaking during a press briefing, the company stated that it was legally awarded the Ebonyi road project contract and had already completed a significant part of the work. According to Enegix, executed works include the clearing of a 28-kilometre road corridor, earthworks, hydraulic installations, and bridge construction in Enyigba.

The company disclosed that a joint project assessment carried out with officials of the Ebonyi State Government on September 1, 2025, confirmed completed work valued at more than ₦1 billion.

Enegix further claimed that despite meeting requirements tied to the amortisation of its Advance Payment Guarantee (APG), approval had not been granted for access to over ₦566 million intended for continued execution of the project.

Addressing allegations of abandoning the project, the company denied the claims and maintained that its workers, equipment, and materials remain on-site. It explained that construction activities were temporarily paused due to heavy rainfall and concerns relating to quality control standards.

The construction firm also expressed concerns regarding the involvement of Ms. Osagie Adewumni in issues connected to the project and company financial accounts.

Enegix called on the EFCC, ICPC, the Nigeria Police Force, the World Bank, and other development partners to investigate matters surrounding the Ebonyi RAAMP project and related transactions.
