Chisom Anyim, son of former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, has promised inclusive and effective representation after emerging as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Ivo Constituency ahead of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly election.

Speaking after the APC primary election, Anyim described his emergence as a renewed responsibility to serve the people with humility, dedication, and commitment to grassroots development.

He commended the conduct of the party primaries in Ebonyi State, describing the process as peaceful, transparent, and one of the most credible in recent times. He also praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Francis Nwifuru for ensuring a smooth and fair exercise across the state.

According to Anyim, his emergence as the APC consensus candidate reflects Governor Nwifuru’s commitment to internal democracy, party unity, and inclusive leadership.

In a statement obtained in Abakaliki, he expressed appreciation to President Tinubu, Governor Nwifuru, APC stakeholders, and residents of Ivo Local Government Area for the trust placed in him.

“I sincerely appreciate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his leadership and dedication to strengthening democracy in Nigeria. I also thank Governor Francis Nwifuru for providing a level playing field and ensuring peaceful primaries throughout Ebonyi State,” he stated.

Anyim noted that his candidacy represents the aspirations of young people, women, and families seeking progress and development within the constituency.

“This mandate is for every youth, every woman, and every family that believes in a brighter future,” he said.

Ahead of the 2027 general elections, he pledged to run an issue-driven campaign centered on youth empowerment, quality education, agriculture, healthcare improvement, infrastructure development, and job creation.

He also assured residents that he would prioritize legislation and policies that would attract meaningful development projects to Ivo Constituency.

“I am going to the Ebonyi State House of Assembly to become the voice of the people and champion initiatives that positively impact our communities,” he said.

Anyim further promised accessible and accountable leadership, emphasizing that public service should remain people-focused.

Meanwhile, Chairman of Ivo Local Government Area, Chief Emmanuel Ajah, alongside party leaders, expressed confidence in Anyim’s ability to provide quality representation, describing his emergence as a positive development for APC ahead of the 2027 elections.
