The Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi, has announced that construction will soon commence on Ndibe Beach in Afikpo, Ebonyi State, to establish a link with Cross River State.
Umahi made this known during an inspection visit to the beach alongside other ministry officials, marking the final phase of assessments before construction begins.
He assured residents that President Bola Tinubu remains committed to completing all projects under his Renewed Hope Agenda within the stipulated timeline. According to Umahi, the Ndibe Beach crossing is one of the key infrastructure projects set to benefit the people of both Ebonyi and Cross River states.
He urged locals to continue supporting President Tinubu’s administration, emphasizing the government’s dedication to infrastructural development in the South East, particularly in road construction.
With all necessary approvals secured, the minister confirmed that work was ready to commence. He also called on the community to ensure the safety of lives and properties involved in executing the project.
Hon. Kingsley Ikoro, Leader of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly and representative of Afikpo West State Constituency, praised Umahi for facilitating the project, which he described as a major development for the people of Afikpo.
