Hon. Kama Nkemkanma, representing Ohaozara, Onicha, and Ivo (Ohanivo) Federal Constituency, has been lauded for his transformative efforts in empowering thousands of his constituents.
Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State commended the lawmaker during an interdenominational thanksgiving and empowerment program held on Sunday in Ishiagu, Ivo Local Government Area. The Governor described Kama as a dedicated and humble leader committed to improving the lives of his people.
“Kama is a beacon of hope for Ohanivo people,” said Nwifuru. “His empowerment initiatives, despite his role as a federal lawmaker, demonstrate his passion for development.”
The event featured the distribution of various items, including tricycles, motorcycles, grinding machines, sewing machines, hair dryers, and agricultural equipment, aimed at supporting constituents in transportation, commerce, and personal development.
Hon. Kama emphasized fairness in selecting beneficiaries, ensuring inclusivity across political, religious, and tribal lines. He also highlighted his legislative achievements, including sponsoring 11 bills and moving 18 motions in the National Assembly.
Governor Nwifuru used the occasion to encourage Kama to join the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing it as a “moving train,” and praised notable figures like Senator Anyim Pius Anyim and Senator David Umahi for their roles in advancing good governance in Ebonyi State.
The event was graced by dignitaries, including Senator Umahi, Senator Anyim, Prof. Anthony Ani, and other high-ranking officials, underscoring the importance of Kama’s contributions to his constituency and the state at large.
