Ebonyi Neighbourhood Watch Nabs Transformer Theft Syndicate

Neighbourhood Watch officials in Afikpo Local Government Area, Ebonyi State, have apprehended four suspected criminals believed to specialize in stealing transformers and electricity wires nationwide. The suspects, originating from the South-South region, were intercepted en route to stealing a transformer in Akpoha, Afikpo Local Government Area. They were accompanied by a local Akpoha resident, who is currently evading capture.

Commander Michael Urom, leading the Neighbourhood Watch team, stressed the importance of public vigilance, urging citizens to promptly report any suspicious activities to security authorities. The suspects have been handed over to the police for further investigation.
