The Governor of Ebonyi State has congratulated a group of indigenes who recently graduated as Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) from Regular Course 7 of the Nigerian Police Academy.
The governor disclosed that he received the newly commissioned officers in his office, where he commended them for successfully completing their training and emerging as ASPs in the Nigeria Police Force. The delegation was led by the Commissioner of Police, Anthonia Adaku Uche-Anya.
Describing the officers as “proud sons and daughters of Ebonyi State,” the governor praised their discipline, resilience, and consistency of character throughout their training at the academy. He noted that their achievement represents not only personal success but also a significant milestone for Ebonyi State.
According to him, the officers have projected a positive image of the state within the Nigeria Police Force, adding that sustained excellence among Ebonyi indigenes in national institutions would further strengthen the state’s reputation for competence and service.
He urged the newly commissioned ASPs to remain focused, patient, and professional in the discharge of their duties. The governor also encouraged them to uphold integrity, embrace innovation in modern policing, and contribute meaningfully to improving security standards across the country.
The successful graduation of the officers from the Nigerian Police Academy marks another stride in Ebonyi State’s growing representation in federal security agencies.
Their commissioning is expected to enhance the state’s footprint within the Nigeria Police Force as they begin active service in different commands across Nigeria.
