Di sad incident shock both junior and senior officers as di man wey dey full of life suddenly fall down and no wake up again.
According to tori wey reach us, ACP Chinedu (na him name we gather), wey dey in charge of Operations for di Ebonyi State Police Command, bin report for duty early that morning. People wey dey close to am say he even greet dem, go through some files, and begin prepare for one operational briefing before di incident happen.
Na around 9:45am di wahala start. One of him aides talk say dem bin just dey go through daily reports when dem notice di ACP begin hold him chest, sweat begin rush from him face, and before anybody fit talk, he collapse.
Na so oga just shout small, hold chest, and fall. We shock! We rush go carry am go Federal Teaching Hospital Abakaliki, but before we reach, dem confirm say him don die,” di aide tell reporters.
Doctors for di hospital talk say e be like say di ACP suffer from cardiac arrest – dat na when di heart stop to beat suddenly. Dem try revive am but e no work.
Di death of ACP Chinedu don throw di entire state command into deep sadness. Officers wey dey close to am describe am as a disciplinarian, but also a man wey get good heart and always dey fight for peace and order for Ebonyi.
Di Ebonyi State Police PRO, SP Loveth Odah, don confirm di incident. She talk say: “Yes, we don lose our dear ACP. Na heavy blow to di command because dis na person wey dey very active and committed to duty. We pray say God go comfort him family and give all of us strength to bear di loss.”
For di state capital Abakaliki, di news spread quick and people begin drop tributes. One trader talk say: “That ACP na good man. During di last crisis, na him coordinate how peace take return. Dis death pain me.”
