The exercise follows the approval of His Excellency and is part of the state’s ongoing efforts to ensure that all eligible retirees receive their outstanding benefits.
The notice, signed by Chief Mrs. Catherine Ogbu, Chairperson of the Gratuity Verification Committee, lists specific dates for retirees across various Ebonyi LGAs to undergo their final verification between December 8 and December 22, 2025.

- Izzi and Ivo LGAs – December 8, 2025
- Onicha LGA – December 9, 2025
- Ohaukwu LGA – December 10, 2025
- Ohaozara and Edda LGAs – December 11, 2025Ikwo LGA – December 12, 2025
- Ishielu LGA – December 15, 2025
- Ezza South LGA – December 17, 2025
- Ezza North LGA – December 16, 2025

Documents Required for Gratuity Verification in Ebonyi State
Retirees are advised to come with the following documents to complete the verification and payment process:
- Letter of Confirmation of Appointment
- Letter of Authorisation
- Letter of Administration (for deceased officers’ benefits)
- Evidence of previous pension or gratuity payments
- Pension ID card
- Last Gen 35
- Bank account details
- Most recent pay slip
- One passport photograph
- Notice of retirement
