DUFUTH Announces Internship Opportunities Across Key Medical Departments

The David Umahi Federal University Teaching Hospital (DUFUTH), Uburu, has announced the commencement of its internship recruitment exercise, inviting applications from qualified graduates across various health-related disciplines.

According to an official notice signed by Mrs. Anih Edith N. (AHAN), the Acting Director of Administration, the hospital is seeking interns in the following departments: Pharmacy, Medical Laboratory Science, Radiography, Nursing, Optometry, and Physiotherapy.

Eligibility

DUFUTH stated that applicants must possess a recognized degree or its equivalent in their respective fields from accredited institutions within or outside Nigeria. Candidates are also required to have provisional registration with their professional councils as well as a current license to practice.

How to Apply

Interested applicants are expected to submit their application letters to the Office of the Director of Administration, DUFUTH. Alternatively, applications may be sent via email to registry.cmd@dufuth.gov.ng with the specific internship area used as the email subject—for example, NURSING INTERNSHIP.

The application window will remain open for six weeks from the date of the announcement. All applications must be addressed to the Acting Director of Administration.

Interview Process

DUFUTH emphasized that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews. The interview schedule will be communicated through SMS or email.

Shortlisted candidates are required to present the originals of their academic credentials and one valid means of identification. Accepted IDs include:

  • National Identity Card
  • Driver’s License
  • Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC)
  • International Passport
