Pink Exhibition 5.0 Highlights Ebonyi’s Thriving SME Sector and Youth Innovation

The Pink Exhibition 5.0, held over the weekend at the Ebonyi Shopping Mall, showcased the exceptional creativity, innovation, and business potential of young entrepreneurs in Ebonyi State.

Organized by Mrs. Omege Maryann Chinelo, the annual trade fair serves as a key platform for promoting Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) by empowering local business owners to display their products, connect with investors, and gain visibility. This year’s edition featured diverse sectors, including fashion, food processing, crafts, and technology — underscoring Ebonyi’s growing reputation as a hub for entrepreneurship and local innovation.

The event attracted notable personalities, including the Governor of Ebonyi State, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, and his wife, Her Excellency, Chief Mrs. Mary-Maudline Uzoamaka Nwifuru. Other dignitaries in attendance included the Honourable Minister of Works and former Governor of Ebonyi State, Sen. Engr. David Nweze Umahi, the Senate Deputy Chief Whip, Chief Barr. Peter Onyekachi Nwebonyi, the Deputy Governor of Imo State, Lady Chinyere Ekomaru, the Deputy Governor of Enugu State, Barr. Ifeanyi Ossai, and Sen. Eteng Jonah Williams of Cross River State Central Senatorial District, among others.

In his address, Governor Nwifuru commended the exhibitors for their creativity and resilience, emphasizing that SMEs are vital to Ebonyi State’s economic growth and job creation. He praised the remarkable progress recorded since the previous edition, attributing it to ongoing empowerment initiatives and consistent government support for small businesses.

The Governor further pledged continued support for entrepreneurs involved in production, reaffirming his administration’s goal to transform small ventures into sustainable enterprises capable of thriving at both national and international levels.

Governor Nwifuru also applauded Mrs. Omege Maryann Chinelo for her commitment to nurturing entrepreneurship in Ebonyi through the Pink Exhibition, promising that the state government would continue to foster an enabling environment for business growth, youth empowerment, and economic development.

With its vibrant showcase of talent, innovation, and enterprise, the Pink Exhibition 5.0 has reaffirmed Ebonyi State’s position as a rising center for creative entrepreneurship and SME development in Nigeria.
