Clergy Cornelius Chikaodili, entrepreneur and CEO of Clergy Construction Limited, has successfully constructed and commissioned two modern bus stops at Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike (AE-FUNAI) in Ebonyi State. The fully sponsored project was designed to improve student convenience, enhance campus life, and promote sustainable development within the university community.

According to Chikaodili, an alumnus of AE-FUNAI and former SUG Director of Welfare, the initiative was inspired by his passion for giving back to the institution. Announcing the commissioning via his official social media handle, he expressed joy over the impact of the project, describing it as “a vision to improve campus life, enhance student convenience, and contribute meaningfully to the development of our university environment.”
One of the new structures, Prof. S. O. Elom Bus Stop, was named in honor of the Vice Chancellor for his transformative leadership. The second, Clergy Construction Bus Stop, was named after the company as a symbol of its commitment to community development, youth empowerment, and corporate responsibility.
The initiative, facilitated by Comr. Anukaenyi Peter C. (Piro), former SUG Director of Transport, was commissioned under the current SUG administration led by Sen. Ngwu Sopuruchi Victor for the 2024/2025 academic session.
In his remarks, Chikaodili thanked the university management, student body, and leaders past and present for their support, noting that the bus stops are more than just shelters but “symbols of progress, collaboration, and vision.”
He concluded by reaffirming Clergy Construction Limited’s dedication to giving back, stating: “As an alumnus and private sector contributor, I remain committed to uplifting AE-FUNAI. At Clergy Construction Limited, we don’t just build—we uplift.”
