Ebonyi to Spend ₦3.7B on New Clinic, Acquires Major Hospital

Date:

The Ebonyi State Executive Council has approved a major investment in the health sector with the construction of an ultra-modern clinic at the Government House and the acquisition of Pentecost Foundation Hospital, Ezzamgbo.

The clinic, awarded to PDoings Integrated Services Limited at a cost of ₦3.5 billion, will serve as a state-of-the-art medical facility, providing both emergency response for government officials and modern healthcare services that could become a model for the state.

In a related move, the government also approved the purchase of Pentecost Foundation Hospital, Ezzamgbo, for ₦250 million. The deal includes acquiring existing medical equipment and absorbing the hospital’s staff into the state workforce.

These projects, underline Governor Francis Nwifuru’s commitment to accessible, world-class healthcare in Ebonyi. Residents expect the combined initiatives to reduce pressure on federal facilities and expand healthcare access in both urban and semi-urban areas of the state.
