Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has confidently declared that no opposition coalition can prevent President Bola Ahmed Tinubu from securing a second term in the 2027 presidential election.
Governor Nwifuru made this assertion during the South East Zonal Meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC), which was held in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital, on Monday. He urged all political agitators and dissenters to set aside their ambitions and rally behind President Tinubu, describing his leadership as “divinely appointed.”
“President Tinubu’s emergence in 2023 was not by chance. It was orchestrated by God, despite the many opposing voices and sentiments,” Nwifuru emphasized. “In 2027, no alliance or coalition can alter God’s plan for Nigeria under his leadership.”
The governor praised Tinubu’s economic reforms, stating that from the onset of his administration, he initiated bold and transformative policies that have positively impacted the lives of Nigerians.
“We are not shaken by any opposition. Our President is well-prepared, courageous, and capable of making difficult decisions that move the nation forward. He has demonstrated that already.”

The remarks were contained in an official statement signed by Dr. Monday Uzor, Chief Press Secretary to Governor Nwifuru, and shared with journalists in Abakaliki.
Nwifuru reaffirmed Ebonyi State’s strong support for the APC and called for tolerance and unity among party members. “The APC is firmly rooted in Ebonyi. We must be open to diverse views while working together to support President Tinubu in completing his agenda for Nigeria.”
Also speaking at the event, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha, Ebonyi APC Chairman, emphasized the party’s continued growth and ability to attract opposition members.
On his part, the APC South East Zonal Chairman, Dr. Ijeoma Arodiogbu, noted that the meeting was part of strategic consultations to evaluate the party’s strengths and areas for improvement at the grassroots level.
“I commend the governor for his unwavering support. Ebonyi is on the right path, and the development I’ve witnessed across the city is impressive,” he said.
