Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso, a graduate of Ebonyi State University (EBSU), has unveiled plans for a state-of-the-art study pavilion valued at ₦250 million — a legacy project aimed at enhancing academic life in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities.
Speaking at the launch, which coincided with the university’s inaugural alumni lecture, Dr. Anyaso explained that the structure represents more than just infrastructure — it’s a symbol of reinvestment in the next generation. According to him, real education isn’t about acquiring certificates but about shaping minds to influence society and lead transformative change.
In his thought-provoking lecture titled “From Classroom to Boardroom: The Power of Education in Shaping Destiny,” Dr. Anyaso urged students to approach learning with depth and purpose.
“Don’t just read to pass. Read to build, to solve, to lead. Waiting for ideal conditions will only delay your impact. Start from where you are,” he charged.
He stressed the importance of converting knowledge into tangible value, continually investing in personal growth, and adopting a mindset of service. “Real leadership isn’t about titles; it’s about the difference you make. As you rise, extend a hand — success is hollow if it doesn’t uplift others.”
Dr. Anyaso also proposed a reimagined academic structure that would embed innovation, leadership development, and entrepreneurship into university curricula. He advocated for initiatives like student-run venture funds, innovation hubs, and final-year project pitches that mirror real-world problem-solving.
“Your future isn’t tied to your GPA; it’s anchored in your resilience,” he said, pointing out that many global success stories began with failure, rejection, or humble beginnings. “Let your obstacles become launchpads.”
