During a powerful night of worship marking the second anniversary of Governor Francis Nwifuru’s administration, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, the Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry Enugu Nigeria (AMEN), revealed that he had prophesied Nwifuru’s emergence as governor years before his election.
Speaking to a large crowd at the Ebonyi State Ecumenical Centre, Fr. Mbaka praised the remarkable infrastructural growth witnessed in Ebonyi State under Nwifuru’s leadership. He noted that the rapid transformation in the state’s development trajectory is positioning Ebonyi to outshine older South East states in Nigeria.
“I remember when the current governor was still the Speaker of the House of Assembly. God revealed to me that he would one day lead this state. He didn’t believe it at the time—but here we are,” Mbaka recalled.
The Catholic priest described Governor Nwifuru as a man blessed with divine favor, who has risen from humble beginnings—including jobs as a bus conductor and bricklayer—to occupy the state’s highest political office.
Fr. Mbaka emphasized that Governor Nwifuru remains the only sitting governor to have invited him for a state-wide Adoration programme, describing him as a longstanding follower of the Adoration Ministry, even before joining politics.
“Ebonyi State is no longer what it used to be,” he said. “Anyone visiting after years away would mistake it for Abuja, especially when they see the new Government House. It’s a transformation worth celebrating.”
The fiery cleric prayed for continued peace, progress, economic growth, and healing for the state and its residents. Quoting Psalms 118:24 and 2 Corinthians 13:14, he emphasized that God’s grace is evident in Ebonyi’s development and in Nwifuru’s life.
“This is a night of divine favor. When grace finds a person, their story changes. Governor Nwifuru’s life is a testimony of God’s transformational power. Who would have imagined that a bricklayer could become a governor? But with God, nothing is impossible,” he declared.
In response, Governor Nwifuru expressed gratitude to Fr. Mbaka for honoring the invitation, even on short notice. He confirmed that the priest had indeed prophesied about his future as governor on two separate occasions—long before he even considered contesting.
“I visited over 600 medical labs in India without any diagnosis. But one night at Adoration Ministry changed everything. I prayed from evening until daybreak and received instant healing,” Nwifuru testified, recounting his past illness during his time as Speaker.
Governor Nwifuru also described Fr. Mbaka as a genuine man of God, full of prophetic insight and divine anointing, thanking him for his continuous prayers and spiritual guidance.
