Residents of Ebonyi State have been advised to go about their normal activities today, as there will be no statewide environmental sanitation exercise.
This clarification was made by the Special Assistant to the Governor on Media, who urged citizens to continue maintaining cleanliness in their homes and immediate surroundings as a routine practice, rather than waiting for a designated day.
“There is no general sanitation today,” the media aide announced. “We encourage everyone to keep their environment clean at all times, as cleanliness is not a one-day affair.”
The statement comes amidst growing concern and uncertainty among some residents who had assumed the sanitation would hold as usual on the last Saturday of the month.
Authorities reiterated that while the exercise is not holding today, individuals and households still bear the responsibility of ensuring proper hygiene and environmental care in their communities.
