Ebonyi State Governor, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening child protection frameworks and advancing inclusive education across the state.
In a statement released to commemorate the 2025 Children’s Day, and signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Monday Uzor, Governor Nwifuru emphasized the need for collective efforts to raise a future generation of empathetic, courageous, and responsible leaders.
The Governor called on parents, educators, government officials, and community leaders to prioritize the well-being of children by fostering safe and inclusive spaces where their voices are acknowledged and respected.
“This year’s theme, ‘Stand Up, Speak Up: Building a Bullying-Free Generation’, is a powerful reminder of our duty to listen to our children, empower them to speak out, and ensure they feel protected and valued,” Nwifuru stated.
He encouraged children in Ebonyi and across Nigeria to be bold, truthful, and kind—qualities he said are essential for leadership and nation-building.
“I want every child to know that this government stands firmly behind you. We are dedicated to protecting your rights, providing quality education, and creating a secure environment where your dreams can thrive without fear,” he assured.
Governor Nwifuru concluded by reiterating his administration’s resolve to enhance existing child welfare policies and support developmental programs that uplift young people throughout Ebonyi State.
