In a bold move to equip its citizens with essential digital competencies, the Ebonyi State Government has officially launched a Free Digital Skills Acquisition Programme aimed at empowering youths and enhancing their participation in the fast-evolving digital economy.
The Flag-off ceremony, held yesterday, was graced by Engr. Jude Chikadibia Okpor, Honourable Commissioner for Information and State Orientation, who represented the Governor of Ebonyi State, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, FNIOB, FCAI, GGCEHF.
Speaking at the event, Engr. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, at the Flag-off ceremony of the Ebonyi State Government Free Digital Skills Acquisition Programme,” he said.
He commended the enthusiasm of the beneficiaries and their readiness to take advantage of the opportunity presented by the state government. “I was glad to see that the beneficiaries are enthusiastic about the prospects of the training in the ever-dynamic digital ecosystem and are ready to utilise the opportunity offered by the state,” he added.
The programme is expected to open doors for participants in various digital fields, thereby reducing unemployment and improving the state’s digital capacity.
The initiative aligns with the state government’s broader commitment to youth empowerment, innovation, and sustainable development in Ebonyi State.
