Ebonyi State played host on Thursday evening to the Senior Course 47 participants of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji. The visiting team, led by Commodore Abdulhakeem Olushina Ojebode, was in the state as part of their academic field study requirement.
Speaking during a dinner held in their honour, Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru commended the delegation for their meaningful engagement with local communities in the state.
“I am delighted with the way they shared ideas and experiences with our local communities,” Governor Nwifuru said.
He further used the occasion to call on Nigeria’s top security institutions to improve their approach to motivation and structural reforms within the sector.
“It paved a good way to once again send a message of encouragement to the top tiers of our security agencies in Nigeria—to step up their willingness, policies, and implementation stance as it concerns reward systems for security officers and state police,” the governor added.
The dinner served as a platform for both strategic interaction and mutual learning, reinforcing Ebonyi State’s commitment to strengthening ties with national security institutions and contributing to ongoing discussions around policing and welfare of service personnel.
