Residents of Abakaliki were met with shock earlier today following the discovery of the lifeless body of a young man near the Speraindeo junction, directly opposite Tycoon Plaza.
The deceased, who appeared to be a traveler, was found with a traveling bag beside him, suggesting he may have collapsed and died while on a journey. Eyewitnesses noted that no form of identification was found on him at the scene, and efforts to identify him have so far been unsuccessful.
Authorities have since evacuated the body from the area. The Ebonyi State Ministry of Environment and the Nigerian Police Force are expected to commence further investigations into the circumstances surrounding his death.
