The construction of the Ebom–Ndibe Bridge, a major infrastructure project linking Ebonyi and Cross River States, is progressing steadily, with key lawmakers recently visiting the site for inspection.
Senator Eteng Williams, representing Cross River Central Senatorial District, alongside Rt. Hon. Alex Egbona, who serves Abi/Yakurr Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, led the oversight visit to the bridge, which is being executed by the Federal Ministry of Works.
The bridge is designed to enhance interstate connectivity, linking Ndibe in Afikpo North Local Government Area of Ebonyi State to Ebom in Cross River State. It will also provide access to the scenic Ebom Beach, also known as Rehat Ekpoi, and is expected to open up fresh opportunities for trade, tourism, and socio-economic development.
The inspection team also included members of the Cross River State House of Assembly—Hon. Cyril Omini (Yakurr I) and Dr. Davis Ettah (Abi)—underscoring the significance of the project to the region.
