The Ebonyi State Police Command has arrested Ovuta Chigozie, a resident of Okoffia in Ezza South Local Government Area, for possessing two human skulls and illegal firearms.
According to police spokesperson Joshua Ukandu, Chigozie admitted that the skulls were given to him for use in a ritual concoction. Authorities are now searching for the individual linked to supplying them.
Police Bust Tricycle Theft Syndicate
In a separate crackdown, law enforcement officials recovered stolen tricycles and dismantled a syndicate that repaints and resells stolen vehicles from neighboring states.
Four suspects—Nweke Chukwudi, Nwankwo Obinna, John Abba, and Uche Abba—were arrested during the operation.
“Three tricycles were recovered, and the suspects confessed to receiving them from accomplices for illegal modifications,” Ukandu stated.
All suspects will face prosecution after the investigation concludes.
