The First Lady of Ebonyi State, Chief Mrs. Mary-Maudline Nwifuru, has commissioned a series of charity projects sponsored by Senator Onyekachi Nwebonyi, Deputy Chief Whip and representative of Ebonyi North Senatorial Zone at the National Assembly.
The projects include a fully furnished three-bedroom apartment for Mrs. Nnenna Adoke in Ndigwe Igbeagu, Izzi LGA; a two-bedroom bungalow for a widow, Mrs. Patricia Ben Nwofoke, in Adam Village, Ndiuruku Amegu, Abakaliki LGA; and an 8,000-litre motorized borehole at Ndunkwegu Primary School, Enyibuchiri Amegu, Abakaliki LGA, providing clean drinking water to the community.
Speaking at the event, the First Lady commended Senator Nwebonyi for his commitment to grassroots development and improving the lives of his constituents. She highlighted the importance of such interventions in uplifting vulnerable members of society and encouraged other lawmakers to emulate his dedication to service.
Senator Nwebonyi reaffirmed his commitment to delivering on his mandate, emphasizing that these projects reflect his vision for community development. He urged the beneficiaries to make good use of the facilities while assuring them of continued support.
