Date:

Governor Francis Nwifuru has taken a significant step toward harnessing Ebonyi State’s natural resources by hosting the President of Salt Partners Ltd, Switzerland, Mr. Vladimir Sedivy, at the Government House in Abakaliki.

The visit, initiated by the state government, centered on discussions about the exploration and development of salt mineral deposits in the state. Governor Nwifuru has granted approval for a comprehensive feasibility study to evaluate the viability of Ebonyi’s salt deposits.

“If the feasibility reports prove bankable, Mr. Sedivy and his team will establish a salt factory in Ebonyi State,” the governor announced.

To ensure progress, Governor Nwifuru has directed the State Ministries of Solid Minerals Development, as well as Commerce and Industry, to engage in further discussions with Mr. Sedivy, exploring the economic potential of this project.

This collaboration aims to boost the state’s economy, create jobs, and position Ebonyi as a key player in Nigeria’s industrial sector.
