Ebonyi Central Senator, Engr. Ken Eze, has announced the successful facilitation of 50 Federal Civil Service jobs for graduates in his constituency over the past year. The senator, who also serves as the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Information and Orientation, revealed this achievement during a special thanksgiving service and empowerment program held at his country home in Ohigbo Amagu, Ezza South Local Government Area.
In addition to these job placements, Eze disclosed that he has appointed 50 personal aides outside the statutory legislative aides officially attached to his office. The empowerment program, according to Eze, was inspired by Governor Francis Nwifuru’s “charter of needs” initiative and aims to alleviate the economic challenges faced by his constituents.
The items distributed during the event included 10 mini buses, Toyota Sienna cars, tricycles, grinding machines, sewing machines, freezers, laptops, cash grants, 10,000 bags of rice, and 2,000 bags of fertilizers. Eze also highlighted his legislative efforts, such as sponsoring and co-sponsoring motions on critical issues, attracting infrastructural projects, and providing scholarships up to the university level.
Governor Francis Nwifuru, who attended the event, commended Eze’s leadership and commitment to effective representation, noting the senator’s remarkable contributions to infrastructure and empowerment in the district. Other dignitaries, including the Catholic Bishop of Abakaliki Diocese, Dr. Peter Nworie Chukwu, and members of the National Assembly, were also present to celebrate the senator’s achievements.
