Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has demonstrated a spirit of inclusivity by attending an empowerment programme organized by Nkemkanma Kama, a Labour Party legislator representing Ohaoazara/Onicha/Ivo Federal Constituency. The event, held in Ishiagu, Ivo Local Government Area, highlighted the governor’s stance that “politics is not enmity.”
Speaking at the occasion, Mr. Nwifuru emphasized the importance of collaboration across party lines for the state’s development. “After elections come governance. Politics should be about unity and service to the people,” he said, adding that Mr. Kama, despite being in a different party, had become a friend through shared values and commitment to public service.
The governor also encouraged Mr. Kama to consider joining the All Progressives Congress (APC) for closer collaboration, stating, “The door is open, but I will always support my party’s candidates during elections.”
In response, Mr. Kama expressed gratitude for the governor’s support and pledged to continue fostering unity and inclusivity in his constituency. He distributed items such as tricycles, motorcycles, sewing machines, and grinding machines to empower his constituents, urging them to use the resources effectively.
The event drew notable figures, including former Senate President Pius Anyim and Minister of Works David Umahi, reflecting a shared commitment to the development of Ebonyi State.
