PDP Expels National Vice Chairman, Ali Odefa, in Ebonyi State

Date:

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oguduokwor Ward, Onicha Local Government Area, Ebonyi State, has announced the expulsion of its National Vice Chairman (South-East), Mr. Ali Odefa, over alleged anti-party activities.

Odefa’s troubles began with a suspension on September 11, which was upheld by the Federal High Court in Abakaliki on November 29. The expulsion was confirmed on Wednesday during a press briefing by Mr. Onyeka Ovuta, a party executive in the ward.

“The expulsion follows the findings and recommendations of the Ward Disciplinary Committee in line with the PDP constitution,” Ovuta explained. He further noted that the decision aligns with sections 58(1) and 59(1) of the party’s constitution.

Ovuta added:

Henceforth, Chief Ali Odefa ceases to be a member of our party.”

This decision marks a significant development in the PDP’s internal politics within the South-East region.
