Two Ebonyi commissioners, Mr. Victor Chukwu and Mr. Jude Okpor, have reportedly engaged in a public altercation during the defection ceremony of PDP chieftains to the APC in Ebiaji, Ezza North Local Government Area of Ebonyi State. The incident drew the attention of state party leaders present at the event.
An eyewitness, identified as Nwite, recounted that the two commissioners, regardless of their social status, were involved in a fierce physical confrontation. It took the intervention of stakeholders and security personnel to halt the altercation.
Nwite expressed astonishment at the situation, revealing that this altercation marked the fifth time the two commissioners had clashed. He lamented the embarrassment caused to the community and the broader population of Ebonyi State.
The altercation occurred openly during the defection event, with the two commissioners exchanging blows unabashedly, disregarding the spectators witnessing the scene.
