he Ebonyi State Police Command has apprehended Chinagorom Joseph Nwoba, a 30-year-old resident of Echara Community in Ikwo LGA, on suspicion of pilfering a Mate 90 motorcycle belonging to Ikechukwu Nwenyim.
Authorities reported that Nwoba was apprehended within the premises of Zenith Bank, located at Vanco Junction in Abakaliki, the state’s capital.
Eyewitnesses disclosed that Nwoba purportedly accessed the bank’s premises, where Nwenyim had securely parked his motorcycle prior to entering the bank for a transaction.
Allegedly, Nwoba attempted to abscond with the motorcycle, but Nwenyim, upon exiting the bank, caught him in the act and promptly alerted others.
With the assistance of the bank’s security personnel and patrons, Nwoba was detained while his alleged accomplice managed to evade capture.
Following his arrest, law enforcement swiftly transported Nwoba to the Ebonyi State Police Headquarters in Abakaliki, where he awaits further legal proceedings.
