Six Southern Governors, Three Deputies Arrive Ogun for High-Level Strategic Meeting

Governors from six southern states, alongside three deputy governors, have arrived in Ogun State for a crucial Southern Governors’ Forum meeting scheduled for Wednesday in Iperu Remo.

Those already at the private residence of Governor Dapo Abiodun include Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara, Abia State Governor Alex Otti, and Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji. Also in attendance are Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru, Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah, and Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo.

Deputy Governors present at the venue include Kola Adewusi of Osun State, Bayo Lawal of Oyo State, and Peter Odey of Cross River State.

According to earlier reports, all 17 Southern Governors are expected to converge for a strategic session aimed at addressing pressing national issues, regional development, and collective policy actions.

A statement from the Forum’s Chairman, Governor Dapo Abiodun, noted that the meeting will also feature a joint engagement with the Southern Traditional Rulers Council at 1:00 p.m today.
