To promote orderliness and strict compliance with JAMB examination guidelines, the State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Ebonyi State, CC Francis Chika Nnadi, embarked on an on-the-spot inspection of accredited CBT centres across the state, accompanied by key members of his management team.
This proactive exercise allowed the Commandant to gather firsthand information, monitor the exam proceedings closely, and ensure the professional conduct of NSCDC personnel in collaboration with JAMB officials at various centres.
His first visit was to the Ebonyi State University (EBSU) Permanent Site, which houses two CBT centres. There, he met with Mrs. Enoh Doris, the State JAMB Coordinator, Dr. Felix James Attah, Rector of Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic, Unwana, and several centre supervisors. They discussed strategies for ensuring the smooth and fair conduct of the 2025 UTME.
CC Nnadi also inspected the Mastersoft Technology CBT Centre and the Annunciation School CBT Centre located at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, both in Abakaliki.
All centres visited reported peaceful and smooth operations, except for the Ebunwana Centre, which experienced a brief server disruption that was promptly resolved.
Meanwhile, at the EBSU Permanent Site, two candidates—Nwite Sopuruchi Israel and Ogboji Obinnaya Matthew—were arrested for alleged impersonation. Preliminary investigations are currently underway to ascertain the extent of their involvement.
Ebonyi State boasts 10 accredited CBT centres, all of which have been adequately secured by NSCDC personnel to create a safe and conducive environment for the 2025 UTME.
